Electrical Engineer Trainee, P95-16690
Positions Available: Three (3) available in Capital Program Management
One (1) available in Operations
Compensation: $51,834.03 Advances to $54,231.64 after six months
Medical / dental benefits & pension
Requirements:
Graduation from an accredited college with a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
NOTE: Possession of a valid license as a Professional Engineer issued by the
New Jersey State Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors may
be substituted for the Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
Appointee to this position will be subject to Civil Service Commission testing
and must place high enough for permanent appointment on the subsequent
employment list.
Appointee will be eligible for advancement to Assistant Engineer Electrical
(P20-16692) upon successful completion of a 12 month trainee period.
In accordance with N.J.S.A. 52:14-7 “New Jersey First Act”, all employees
must reside in the State of New Jersey unless exempted under the law.
If you do not reside in New Jersey, you have one year after you begin
employment to relocate your residence to New Jersey

Electrical Project Engineer
LOCATION: Mays Landing, NJ
Our client is a rapidly growing independent energy company located in Southern New Jersey providing engineering, construction, start up, commissioning, operations, maintenance and management for on and off site client power plants. Due to this growth we are seeking a Mechanical or Electrical Engineer that will provide Plant Electrical Engineer for their power generating facilities in the area. These facilities provide a combined total of 275MW of electric, 400 MMBTU/hr of Heat Recovery, 1,500 MMBtu/hr of Boiler capacity and 130,000 tons of chilled water capacity of energy producing facilities totaling over $ 1 billion dollars of assets.
Responsibilities Include:
- Develops scope of work, schedules, and budget requirements on projects;
- Provides design function for maximum system reliability, safety, and construction;
- Provides Electrical Power 12KV and below engineering reliability support to maintenance and operations
- Provide DCS Control System engineering reliability support to maintenance and operations
- Provides field inspection and tests new systems for contract compliance;
- Conducts data collection and project reporting;
- Reviews and provides economic evaluation of new proposals;
- Contributes to and supports efforts of maintenance and operations staff, reliability, and customer needs;
- Manifests technical specifications to meet corporate standards and guidelines;
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering;
- Experience with electrical systems from 12KV down
- Experience with DCS Control Systems preferred
- Power Plant Experience a plus
