NJSPE Membership Benefits
NJSPE is the only organization in New Jersey dedicated to the promotion and protection of the engineering profession. Since 1924, this organization has represented all professional engineers in New Jersey by working to advance the profession and to safeguard its canons.
Today there are 2,800 professional engineers who are members of NJSPE and 75,000 professional engineers who have joined our national organization, NSPE. Together these engineers represent the leaders of the profession worldwide. They are CEOs, presidents and owners of the nation's leading engineering firms; the experts in government, private practice, construction and industry who set the standards in their fields.
Membership in our Society thus gives you the unique opportunity to join with this select group of the world's leading engineers in working together to support your profession. Membership in NJSPE automatically makes you a member of NSPE, a local chapter of your choice, and a practice division of your choice. Read on to review all the other benefits of joining NSPE.
Networking for Career Advancement
NJSPE membership opens the door for career enhancement through increased professional contacts. Frequently, whom you know is just as important as what you know.
Join the New Jersey Society of Professional Engineers, and you're automatically admitted to membership in the national organization (NSPE), your local chapter, and one Practice Division of your choice (Construction... Education... Government... Industry... or Private Practice). You also have the opportunity to join additional Practice Divisions. At all these levels you'll have one opportunity after another to meet professionally and socially with other engineers in your area of practice.
